Privacy Policy

Overview
Exif Tool Free lets you view and remove the metadata in your files. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it and how long we keep it.
You do not need an account to use any of our tools, and we never ask for your name or email address to process a file.
Files you upload
Files you upload are stored privately on our server only for as long as it takes to process them. They are never made public, shared or used for anything other than the tool you chose.
Every uploaded file, and every file we create from it, is deleted automatically 30 minutes after upload.
Information we collect
Like most websites, our server records basic technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use your IP address to limit how many files can be uploaded per minute and to protect the site from abuse.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are needed for the site to work: a session cookie, a security cookie that protects forms, and a cookie that remembers your chosen language.
Our advertising partners may also set cookies to show and measure ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Third-party services
When a file contains GPS coordinates, the Exif Viewer shows the location on an embedded Google Map. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and some pages show ads from Google AdSense. These services receive your IP address and are covered by their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Because uploaded files are deleted automatically, there is usually nothing for us to remove, but you can contact us with any request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
